Adobe pagemaker for windows 10 crack3/31/2024 The Barneyscan version included advanced color editing features that were stripped from the first Adobe shipped version. Photoshop 1.0 was released on February 19, 1990, for Macintosh exclusively. While John worked on plug-ins in California, Thomas remained in Ann Arbor writing code. Both showings were successful, and Adobe decided to purchase the license to distribute in September 1988. ĭuring this time, John traveled to Silicon Valley and gave a demonstration of the program to engineers at Apple Computer and Russell Brown, art director at Adobe. Later that year, Thomas renamed his program Photoshop and worked out a short-term deal with scanner manufacturer Barneyscan to distribute copies of the program with a slide scanner a "total of about 200 copies of Photoshop were shipped" this way. Thomas renamed the program ImagePro, but the name was already taken. Thomas took a six-month break from his studies in 1988 to collaborate with his brother on the program. This program (at that time called Display) caught the attention of his brother John, an Industrial Light & Magic employee, who recommended that Thomas turn it into a full-fledged image editing program. student at the University of Michigan, began writing a program on his Macintosh Plus to display grayscale images on a monochrome display. Photoshop was developed in 1987 by two brothers, Thomas and John Knoll, who sold the distribution license to Adobe Systems Incorporated in 1988. Collectively, they are branded as "The Adobe Photoshop Family". As of November 2019, Adobe has also released a full version of Photoshop for the iPad, and while initially limited, Adobe plans to bring more features to Photoshop for iPad. Historically, Photoshop was bundled with additional software such as Adobe ImageReady, Adobe Fireworks, Adobe Bridge, Adobe Device Central and Adobe Camera RAW.Īlongside Photoshop, Adobe also develops and publishes Photoshop Elements, Photoshop Lightroom, Photoshop Express, Photoshop Fix, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop Mix. With the introduction of the Creative Cloud branding in June 2013 (and in turn, the change of the " CS" suffix to " CC"), Photoshop's licensing scheme was changed to that of software as a service subscription model. Photoshop CS3 through CS6 were also distributed in two different editions: Standard and Extended. However, in October 2002 (following the introduction of Creative Suite branding), each new version of Photoshop was designated with " CS" plus a number e.g., the eighth major version of Photoshop was Photoshop CS and the ninth was Photoshop CS2. Photoshop's naming scheme was initially based on version numbers. Its feature set can be expanded by plug-ins programs developed and distributed independently of Photoshop that run inside it and offer new or enhanced features. In addition to raster graphics, Photoshop has limited abilities to edit or render text and vector graphics (especially through clipping path for the latter), as well as 3D graphics and video. Photoshop uses its own PSD and PSB file formats to support these features. Photoshop can edit and compose raster images in multiple layers and supports masks, alpha compositing and several color models. "to photoshop an image", " photoshopping", and " photoshop contest") although Adobe discourages such use. The software's name is often colloquially used as a verb (e.g. Since then, the software has become the most used tool for professional digital art, especially in raster graphics editing. It was originally created in 1987 by Thomas and John Knoll. Best apps for editing youtube videos3/31/2024 Many of the best free video editor apps can leave a lot to be desired, adding veracity to the old adage that “you get what you pay for”. One of the best free video editing software tools that's open-source and multiplatform is Shotcut. The only thing to bear in mind is that HitFilm needs a computer with a bit of oomph, and one of the more recent operating systems, be it Windows or Mac. Still, that doesn’t take away from the powerful features already present, which you can still use to create simple or impressive videos, all for free. The only downside we feel with the latest version (2022.1) is that there doesn’t seem to be many new features, or at least many new features that don’t try to entice you to upgrade to one of the subscription tiers. Existing users will find most of the tools they’re used to, albeit across a revamped interface (and a new name - gone is HitFilm Express, simply replaced with HitFilm). If you’re new to software for video editing, you’ll appreciate all the tutorials on offer straight from inside one of the best free video editor apps. There are subscription tiers which include higher-end tools, and also grant you access to an extensive media library,īut you can learn to ignore all the red ‘upgrade’ buttons peppered throughout the interface, and get on with creating your videos. Top tool HitFilm is powerful, professional, and one of the best free video editing software for Windows 11, Windows 10, and Mac. See how a video editor best for beginners and pros stacks up against its premium rival in Adobe Premiere Pro vs Lightworks. We’d understand if 4K was deemed a pro feature, but 1080p? Really? The only major downside to the free version is an inability to export your finished product beyond 720p. Still, don’t let that dissuade you: most of the pro features really are destined for professional users, and if you’re an amateur, enthusiast, or just starting out, you’ll have a great time learning the ropes with it.Įverything is pretty intuitive, and the new contextual help windows guide you through your first steps effectively. It was something we highlighted in our review, noting that "Lightworks is a great free video editor with numerous tools to satisfy most casual video editors, although if you want more advanced features, you’ll need to pay for the privilege." The Free option offers you the same interface but has a more limited selection of tools. Go to their website, and you’ll see how proud they are of the numerous professional feature films that have been cut with it.īut this is with the Pro version. Lightworks is some of the best free video editing software - and it comes with a bit of a pedigree. Iki island map ghost of tsushima3/31/2024 Like all duel opponents, he very rarely uses normal attacks, but when he does, they're great chances to Perfect Parry him for a Counterattack.Īfter you defeat or appease the Viper, he'll ask that you recover his navigation charts, which show every smuggling route to the mainland. The Viper likes to use a sweeping Heavy Attack you may recognize as the Crimson Merchant's signature move from the Hidden Cove Tournament, and he liked to use the "sheathe-then-slash" Heavy Attack that the Straw Hats use. If you do get into a duel with the Viper, here's how to beat him. However if you pick the confrontational "Watch your tone" and "This isn't a negotiation" options with X, you'll be forced to duel the Viper because you were so abrasive to him. if you answer with the defusing "I am not my father" and "We can work this out" on O, you'll appease the Viper. This is actually a more sensitive conversation than it looks: it's possible to annoy the Viper with your choices. When you arrive, you and Kenji will dismount, so follow Kenji down to the beachside town and meet The Viper. Travelling to the Viper's Den isn't difficult: just follow Kenji and Fugu's horses until you get to his camp on the western coast of the island. Unfortunately he also owes money to The Viper of Hakata Bay, a notorious smuggler that not even Jin and his father could get rid of the last time they were on Iki. Follow Kenji and you'll arrive at a third campsite and find Fugu there. After the cutscene where Jin chastizes him, you'll return to the camp only to find Kenji's accomplice, Fugu, isn't there. Yup, it's that annoying sake salesman, Kenji! Augh. Once all the Bandits are dead, enter the house to discover the true identity of the Ghost of Iki. Since we had the maximum Standoff amount, we opted for that as it only left two Archers on the opposite side of the house. It seems that the real Ghost Imposter was captured by Dead Fox Bandits, and he owes money to them (as well).įortunately the Ghost Impostor isn't being held too far away: they're in a house just North-West of the camp, over the hill. It turns out however that he isn't the Ghost: just somebody who works for him. Here, the Ghost Imposter has been caught by a Raider who says the Ghost Imposter owes them a fortune, but Jin is able to convince him to leave so he can interrogate the Ghost Imposter himself. Examine them, then follow the footprints along the path to reach a second campsite. You can take out the bandits if you really want to, however you will ultimately have to go to the Guiding Wind marker, which is over a set of footprints. Once the Ghost Imposter has fled, you'll have to track him down. It seems he's more of a thief than a Samurai, preferring to steal some sake and other materials before using explosive barrels as a distraction. Just before dawn, Jin will now investigate the nearby bandit camp, and can spot the Ghost Imposter skulking into it. Once you've Examined them, Jin will decide to camp (ha) here until he catches a sign of the Ghost of Iki's return. When you arrive you'll have three points of interest to observe: the recently-used campfire, a very empty jar of sake, and a discarded torch. True to their word, the Ghost's offering site is located bang on the side of the North-East archway to Kidafure Battleground if you did the Massacre at Kidafure Village Tale already, it'll be the spot the Tale took you to after talking with Fune. Here you can reply with either "I am the ghost" by pressing O or coyly play along with "I know some rumours" by pressing X.Įither way, the pair let you know that he has set up a camp on the North-East entrance to Kidafure Battleground, so that's where you should start investigating. Apparently somebody has been running around Iki Island acting in the Ghost's name and spreading tales of their actions that have certainly become larger than life. When you arrive, look for the man and woman at the campfire and talk to them to learn about the Ghost of Iki. Midline movements brain gym3/31/2024 When our limbs cross this midline, our brain will send control signals from one side of the brain to the other side. It's a bit like a football team, where a (specialised) right-winger kicks more accurately with his right foot and a left-winger is better with his left foot. One side can become very good at fine motor skills for the dominant hand, relieving the other side to specialise in other brainy tasks. But normally within months this improves considerably and by the time a baby starts to crawl, this coordination is already much better.īy the time a child start using his or her dominant hand, specialisation is starting to take place in the brain and this left-right division is starting to pay off. We can observe that newborns are not very good at this as all their limbs are flying about without any coordination. The control centres in the brain require good coordination and synchronisation in order to be able to move and act in a fluid and effective manner. The body thus has two separate control centres coordinating the movements of the whole physical body, with an unseen 'midline' separating the left and right sides of the body. The left side of our body is controlled by specialised processing centres in the right side of our brain, while the right side of our body is controlled by the left side of the brain. Let me explain why it's important in relation to physical development and learning achievement. The midline I'm interested in is an invisible line, or more accurately a plane, that divides our body in two, that separates left from right. No, the midline is not the line in the middle of the road, but while we're mentioning that line, only cross it if it's safe to do so. Valence electrons periodic table3/31/2024 For main group elements (i.e s-block and p-block elements), the valence electrons are the electrons present in the outermost orbit.#"K"# loses one electron to #"F"# and forms the ionic compound potassium fluoride, #"K"^"+""F"^"-"#. Therefore, a metal from the bottom of Group 1 (like potassium) and a nonmetal from the top of Group 17 (like fluorine) will react violently, because they both benefit greatly from the reaction. In fact, oxygen (the lightest element in Group 16) is more reactive than chlorine, even though it is not a halogen, because the valence electrons of oxygen are closer to the nucleus (at a lower energy). Within each Group of nonmetals, reactivity decreases from top to bottom, because the valence electrons are at progressively higher energies and the atoms do not gain much stability by gaining electrons. To form a covalent bond, one electron from the halogen and one electron from another atom form a shared pair (e.g., in #"H–F"#, the dash represents a shared pair of valence electrons, one from #"H"# and one from #"F"#). To form an ionic bond, a halogen atom can remove an electron from another atom in order to form an anion (e.g., #"F"^"-", "Cl"^"-"#, etc.). It has an #s^2p^5# electron configuration, so it requires only one additional valence electron to form a closed shell. The most reactive kind of nonmetal is a halogen such as fluorine or chlorine. It can either share electrons with a neighboring atom to form a covalent bond or it can remove electrons from another atom to form an ionic bond. The valence electrons are less tightly bound and easier to remove, because they are farther away from the nucleus of the atom.Ī nonmetal tends to attract additional valence electrons to attain a full valence shell. Within each group of metals, reactivity increases as you go down the group. This one valence electron is easily lost to form a positive ion with an #s^2p^6# configuration (e.g., #"Na"^+# or #"K"^+#).Ī metal from Group 2 (e.g., magnesium) is somewhat less reactive, because each atom must lose two valence electrons to form a positive ion (e.g., #"Mg"^(2+)# with an #s^2p^6# configuration. The most reactive kind of metallic element is a metal from Group 1 (e.g., sodium or potassium).Īn atom in Group 1 has only a single valence electron. This tendency is called the octet rule, because the bonded atoms have eight valence electrons. Generally, elements in Groups 1, 2, and 13 to 17 tend to react to form a closed shell, corresponding to the electron configuration #s^2p^6#. That is why elements whose atoms have the same number of valence electrons are grouped together in the Periodic Table. The valence electrons are the electrons in the outermost electron shell of an atom. In molecular (covalent) compounds these same valence electrons are shared by atoms in order to satisfy the rule of octet. When the charges are equal and opposite the atoms will bond as #Al_2O_3#. We will need 2 aluminum atoms to get a +6 charge and 3 oxygen atoms to get a -6 charge. Oxygen #s^2p^4# has 6 valence electrons and an oxidation state of -2 or #O^(−2)# This makes the formula for calcium chloride, #CaCl_2#.Īluminum #s^2p^1# has 3 valence electrons and an oxidation state of +3 or #Al^(+3)# This means that two #Cl^(−1)# anions will balance with one #Ca^(+2)# cation. Ionic bonds form when the charges between the metal cation and non-metal anion are equal and opposite. It needs one electron to make it stable at 8 electrons in its valence shells. This makes calcium a Ca+2 cation.Ĭhlorine is a Halogen in the 17th column or #s^2p^5# group.Ĭhlorine has 7 valence electrons. This means that calcium #s^2# has 2 valence electrons it readily gives away in order to seek the stability of the octet. Lets take the ionic formula for Calcium Chloride is #CaCl_2#Ĭalcium is an Alkaline Earth Metal in the second column of the periodic table. Phosphorus has 5 valence electrons 2 from the 3s and 3 from the 3p Sodium has 1 valence electron from the 3s orbital These electrons are found in the s and p orbitals of the highest energy level for the element. The valence electrons are the electrons that determine the most typical bonding patterns for an element. 2016 gmc acadia denali iridium metallic3/31/2024 Also standard on Denali models – and all Acadia models – is hill-hold assist braking technology, which applies the brakes for 1.5 seconds when the driver’s foot leaves the brake pedal on inclines of 5 percent or steeper. Cover letter example reddit3/31/2024 So, make sure to do a lot of research and come up with good reasons why you're applying. The same goes for “values of integrity and transparency” - the writer just googled what the values for the organization are, and said that they like them.Īny hiring manager that reads this will see through the fluff. “Culture of Innovation” is something most companies claim to have. See what’s wrong here? The example doesn’t really say anything about the company. The company values of integrity and transparency really vibe with me. I believe that since I’m super creative, I’d be a good fit for the company. I’d love to work for Company XYZ because of its culture of innovation. Let’s say, for example, you’re passionate about their product and you like the culture of innovation / independent work in the organization. Then, you need to figure out what you like about the company and turn that into text. Chances are, you’ll find all the information you need either on the company website or somewhere around the web. What’s the culture like? Will someone micro-manage your work, or will you have autonomy on how you get things done?.What’s the company product or service? Have you used it?.How do you do this? Well, as a start, you want to do some research about the company. Meaning, you also need to convince the HR manager that you’re really passionate about working with them. This ends up costing the company a ton of money, up to 50% of the employee’s annual salary. They’re looking for someone that’s also a good fit for the company culture.Īfter all, employees that don’t fit in are bound to quit, sooner or later. The HR manager doesn’t only look at whether you’ll be good at the job or not. Once you’ve written the last paragraph, you might be thinking - I’m a shoo-in for the job! What else do I need to write? I’ll just wrap up the cover letter and hit that sweet SEND button. Step #6 - Explain why you’re a good fit for the company Learn how to write an internship cover letter here. So, here’s how that would look for our example:Īre you a student applying for your first internship? You probably don’t have a lot of work experience to show off in this section. Now, in this section, you need to discuss how you fulfill these requirements. Some skills in advertising on other platforms (Google Search + Twitter).Experience managing a Facebook ad budget of $10,000+ / month. You scan the job ad and see that the top requirements are: So, open up the job ad and identify which of the responsibilities are the most critical.įor the sake of the example, let’s say you’re applying for the position of a Facebook Advertiser. This is where you show off your professional skills and convince the HR manager that you’re a better fit for the job than all the other applicants.īut first things first - before you even write anything, you need to learn what the most important requirements for the role are. Step #5 - Explain why you’re the perfect person for the job This part is split into two paragraphs: the first is for explaining why you’re the perfect person for the job, and the latter is for proving that you’re a good fit for the company. Now that we’ve covered the introduction, let’s talk about the body of your cover letter. See the difference between the two examples? If you were the hiring manager, which sales manager would you hire, Jonathan or Michael? I believe that my previous industry experience, as well as excellence in sales, makes me the right candidate for the job. As a Sales Representative, I generated an average of $30,000+ in sales per month (beating the KPIs by around 40%). I’ve worked with Company X, a fin-tech company, for 3+ years. hit and exceed their sales goals as a Sales Manager. My name’s Michael and I’d like to help XYZ Inc. How does a good cover letter look, you might ask. So, to make sure this doesn’t happen, it’s essential to know how to write a convincing cover letter. Its purpose is to introduce you and briefly summarize your professional background. On average, your cover letter should be from 250 to 400 words long.Ī good cover letter can spark the HR manager’s interest and get them to read your resume.Ī bad cover letter, on the other hand, might mean that your application is going directly to the paper shredder. In case of Viber or Telegram, your phone is required only for a 1-time SMS verification. These competing apps do not require the mobile version to be running on your phone. Compared to similar solutions like Viber or Telegram, it is a very basic app and lacks many features offered by competing apps in their Desktop versions. So, if you are a Windows 7 user, you can get WhatsApp working with very minor limitations. Toast notifications which are available only in Windows 8 and Windows 10 will not work obviously but this is not a big deal, because toast notifications show anyone looking at your screen all the WhatsApp messages that you receive, violating your privacy. When someone messages you, it draws a red overlay icon on its Taskbar button indicating unread messages just like Skype for Desktop does. Also, it does not support voice calls yet.īy using it briefly I found it perfectly usable in Windows 7. The app requires you to keep mobile WhatsApp running on your phone, exactly like the Web version does.
Softimage3d extreme 3.73/31/2024 I mean, they were rendering at 320×240 for Pete’s sake. Most likely, there was some translation error when this information was recorded, and it actually took 3 weeks to render all images for the final production, maybe even the FMV sequences as well. There were over 1,250 images used in the game, and 3 weeks to render each image would have meant they were rendering for over 70 years… Plus, the computers they were using should have been able to easily render one image in minutes. It supposedly took 3 weeks to render each image, which I find a little hard to believe. Softimage has been used for many award-winning movies and games, including Terminator 2, Jurassic Park, and Titanic. This is what the software looked like that Capcom was using to build their assets and create the pre-rendered backgrounds. This is more than likely the computer Capcom used to create Resident Evil 2. I read that the program used to render the background images in the game was called, “O2”, but seeing as Capcom has used Softimage for every Resident Evil, it’s more likely that the computer was the “ SGI O2“, and the software on that computer was Softimage 3.7 (the latter of which has been confirmed by several sources). It’s a really neat trick to get better performance out of the PlayStation rather than having fully-rendered realtime environments, which could end up looking quite ugly and killing performance. All you see when you play the final game is a desk, but there’s an invisible object there to tell the character, “you can’t go there”, and to tell the game, “hide this much of the character when they pass behind this object.” Essentially, it’s as if all the 3D geometry is still there in the game, it’s just invisible as a wireframe behind the 2D image. Then, it is deleted in the original 3D file and an invisible collision object is put in its place, and that information is also put into the game. That desk is rendered as a 2D image and placed in the game. The scenes contain data from the original 3D objects that were rendered out to 2D, but with wireframes denoting objects for collision and depth instead of fully rendered objects. Each “room” (including outdoor locations) is a scene using multiple cameras at different locations and angles, which the game switches between and loads a new image as the player moves offscreen. First, the images are rendered out individually in 2D and programmed into the game. It’s more complex than just slapping the characters down over a 2D image, as depth and collision need to be processed as well. I did extensive research into the methods Capcom used to create the pre-rendered backgrounds and place the characters in the scene. There is surprisingly little info on the making of RE2, but I’ve compiled here all my findings. Romero, who shot a TV commercial for the game. The game had a $5 million ad campaign, and some of that money went to zombie king George A. The original RE had just jump-started the dying survival horror genre, and RE2 was the much-anticipated sequel that Capcom had poured all their effort and millions of dollars into. Resident Evil 2 came at a perfect time in the PlayStation’s life. Still, RE2 has dominated the hearts and minds of RE fans for over a decade, and is considered by many to be the best in the series. As of September 2012, it has been topped by Resident Evil 5, which sold 5.9 million. It was the highest-grossing game in the series for years, selling 4.96 million copies worldwide. Before 2009, if you owned one Resident Evil game, chances are good it was Resident Evil 2. AuthorWrite something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview. ArchivesCategories |
